APS (Autologous Protein Solution)
Autologous Protein Suspension, or APS, is an autologous (from your own body) therapy which is designed to treat joint pain associated with knee osteoarthritis. In laboratory testing, APS has been shown to protect cartilage cells. This protective quality may slow the progression of osteoarthritis as well.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
Do you feel an uncomfortable pulling sensation in your joint or suffer from joint stiffness in the mornings or discomfort when you first start walking? The cause may well be wear and tear of the joint cartilage, commonly known as osteoarthritis. PRP therapy offers a natural, biologic therapy approach involving activation of the body’s own factors in your blood.
Stem Cell Therapy
Experts are researching ways to use stem cells to treat arthritis in the knee and other joints. At the Regenerative Therapy Centre, we use bone marrow derived stem cells to treat arthritis.
Another widely used treatment option osteoarthritis pain management is a procedure called viscosupplementation injection. If your pain continues to limit your activities, viscosupplementation may be an option.
